Redbean is a design and publishing practice based in Singapore. We work with cultural institutions, publishers, and forward-thinking brands to create work that endures beyond the moment it was made.
Our process is rooted in typography and editorial thinking — every project begins with language, structure, and intention before a single pixel or millimetre is placed.
Redbean was established by two former Phaidon editors with a shared belief that print and design belong together. Our first commission was a 300-page monograph for a British sculptor.
Our editorial identity for independent publisher Carte Blanche won the D&AD Wood Pencil for Book Design, putting us on the map as a studio that takes typography seriously.
We opened our Asia Pacific studio in Singapore, bringing our editorial approach to a new generation of publishers, cultural institutions, and brand-led clients across the region.
With over 240 titles in print across 18 countries and a growing digital publishing practice, we continue to push what a design and publishing studio can be in a screen-first world.
